Fishing

In the Carrier language, "Batnuni" means "abundance of char"—a fitting name for this lake. For the avid fisherman, Batnuni Lake Resort is paradise. The remote location and numerous lakes in the area mean low fishing pressure. That also means plenty of opportunity to bring in the "big one!"

Our guests are catching char up to 15 lbs and also finding excellent fly fishing for big, scrappy rainbow trout. With over 18 lakes in close proximity and the world famous Blackwater River right next door, there are more than enough places to test your skill.

Guests are welcome to bring their own boats to the resort and we also offer boat and motor rentals. Our all inclusive plans offer daily transportation between the resort and numerous destination lakes or the Blackwater River. The all inclusive plans also include free fish cleaning and smoking.

Don't forget about the winter season as well! We are open year round and offer excellent ice fishing once the lakes freeze (usually the first week in December).
